06 Gallery
On the 5th July 2006, John Mason School opened the 06 Gallery as a purpose built space in which to host a range of exhibitions by professional contemporary artists, new graduates, students, community groups and touring exhibitions.
The exhibition programme, which is fully accessible to the community, is used to extend curricular and extra-curricular opportunities for our students at John Mason and other schools within the Abingdon Partnership.
Our aim is to strengthen arts experiences for children, young people and the wider community and develop local interests and enthusiasm for visual art.
As part of its community plans John Mason School offers regular opportunities for the public to engage with exhibitions in the 06 Gallery through talks, family days and special events. For further details please see gallery guides below:

9am – 4pm, weekdays during term time.

David Hockney Grimms' Fairy Tales-
A Hayward Touring Exhibition
An exhibition of etchings by David Hockney, illustrating six fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm. Hockney has given each tale his own interpretation, choosing vivid images to encapsulate mood or detail. The series includes some familiar stories, like Rapunzel and Rumpelstilzchen.
