The JMA owns and runs the Welsh Farm, which is visited in Year 9 by nearly all students, and used for field trips.
We raise funds through the Raffle and the Craft Fair to help run the farm and improve school facilities - the new bike sheds, minibus, tennis courts have all been part funded by the money we raise.
We run regular maintenance trips to the Welsh farm and are always looking for volunteers for a busy, fun and worthwhile few days away from it all!

About the Farm
Troedyrhiwegellifawr was purchased by the John Mason Association in 1969 for £1500 and renovated by parents, staff and students.
It lies at the end of the remote valley near the village of Pumsaint in West Wales, and is surrounded by forested hills and sheep farms.
Landranger Grid Reference: SN676442
Used for fieldwork trips, tutorial group visits and other specialised trips, the Farm is also available to JMA members for holidays.
A large proportion of the school’s students and staff visit the farm during every school year.
Some quotes from year 9 students:
"It was an unforgettable experience, full of fun, excitement and MUD! We had a brilliant time and went on lots of walks. I have never eaten so much cake."
"I think we must have had the best teachers ever because they were all really funny and cool. We did loads of things that made it really memorable, including a trip to a waterfall and a bog hop. This really was a trip I will never forget."
"We went to the gold mines and panned for gold as well as hearing a ghost story about Ned Lyons. That afternoon we went bog hopping, it stank, the boys were in their element wrestling in the mud!"
"All of us had an excellent time and we’d love to go again."
