John Mason Association
The John Mason Association (JMA) is another name for the friends of John Mason School or John Mason PTA. Anyone with any connections with the school - parents, teachers, governors, students - is automatically a member of the JMA.
The JMA is run by a committee of parents and staff in order to foster good links between home and school, to provide encouragement and support in all areas of school life, and to fundraise towards these aims.
We not only provide funds to enrich students’ time at John Mason School but also support the school in many other ways and provide extra pairs of hands when needed. We arrange social activities which are great fun and a chance to meet other parents and students.
To give you an idea of the help we provide; the JMA has raised money for school minibuses; netball kit; stage curtains; Carnegie Medal participation; table tennis tables, the Snack Shack and much more. Recently JMA fundraising has also agreed funding for maintenance of the Welsh Farm.
We are a friendly welcoming group and we would be delighted to have new committee members. Please contact us on email@example.com
JMA Events Support
The JMA provide refreshments at evening events throughout the year. Offers of help with refreshments are welcome, with no obligation to join the committee.
JMA Lucky Numbers Club
The JMA Lucky Numbers Club is one of the ways the JMA raises funds to support the school. Membership is open to all teachers, parents and friends of the school aged 18 or over. Membership is £20. Each member is allocated a number and this is placed in a monthly draw with a chance to win a cash prize. 50% of the funds go to the JMA and 50% into the prize fund which is divided into a first prize (40%) and second prize (10%). In the past this fund has raised money to purchase a new minibus for the school.
We would like to invite you to join the Lucky Numbers Club – please see the Parentmail School Shop section for details and to join.
